Free! If you buy from a seller with 0 feedbacks, you need to be very careful. Fraud exists everywhere, online or offline. If you buy from an online store, please make sure the store looks very professional and credible. I wasn¡¯t the author of this thread, nor would I have started it! I have been in many discussions regarding this topic and since both of the Softwares in question continue to upgrade AND the two are now under one roof I think it is a VALID TOPIC. Were not just talking about which one is better. Internet was created in the 70s as a military project. It started as about 3 computers at that time. Right now there are millions of machines on the internet. This is were am i heading with the type layout design. The middle is going to be a frame and the type doc. page will load into the window. Any type that breaks the edge of bottom frame will be scrollable. Dream weaver may eventually be "forced to do things slightly different" as Adobe modifies the application conform to its interface standards, but NPD expects Adobe will ¡°reduce the pain¡± for the Dream weaver customer by offering Quark XPress keyboard shortcuts and more. Currently i use dream weaver, its an easy program to get to grips with imo, and there are lots of helpfull tutorials avaible for it more so than GoLive. Dream weaver offers a more or less better starting point to get your work together and on the web. With the internet growing, we can do almost everything online. Has grandma been online yet? Probably yes. Grandma now can shopping online, playing games online or even date online. Not only that it¡¯s pretty pointless to have a spar of words when so many people in this forum already know our intentions. I think the general consensus is we don¡¯t shut down new designers and we do help but this is no attempt to justify us. Now almost everybody have a web. Some people just have a lot of websites. Some web sites provide articles to read. Some web sites are forums of special topics. Some sites are stores or shopping mall where you can buy whatever you like. What should we avoid when shopping online? First, try to buy products from sellers with good reputation. When you buy on ebay, make sure to buy from sellers with an overall good rating. Usually good sellers should have an overall more than 95% positive feedbacks. You don't have to make that choice next year cause Macromedia was bought by Adobe, and Go-Live is now...well dead seeing it will be getting the axe next release it is better to invest and learn dream weaver, you'll also save money on the future upgrades...and since go live will be dying, you'd need to jump to dream weaver at some point anyway. Maybe nobody think people can shop online 20 years ago. But today, almost everybody do that. You can buy everything on the internet because you can sell everything on the internet. What is the advantage of the internet business via the local business? One advantage is the sales tax. I didn't realize that Adobe was going to kill GoLive. I assumed they¡¯d keep the products separate to make more money. I¡¯m glad that only one will survive because, I¡¯m sure, in an effort to cut costs both products would suffer w/o the competition to make them better. |
