Most wedding ceremony is in hotel room in the USA. In China, most ceremony is in the new couple's home. The bedroom of the new couple's home is called cave room. Right after the ceremony, the bride should go into the cave room. The broom can not go there until all guest left.

It is hard to give a wedding gift. To give a wedding gift, it is hard to come up with something that the accepter will love and not cost much.

Ant in English may also mean the wife of uncle. In Chinese, wife of your father's elder brother is called Da Niang or Bo Mu. wife of your father's younger brother is called Shen Zi or Shen Shen.

In China, one can not call the name of a family member. For example, you can not call your dad his name. You can only mention his name to other people outside of your family. You can not call your elder sister or brother their name either. In Chinese, elder brother and younger brother are two different words. And the the elder sister and older sister are also two different words.

The reason why Chinese make it so clear is that in the long history of China, there are 2000 years that China is a feudal society. A feudal society is highly hierarchical.

The bride will go to meet the broom's relatives. If the bride know one relative of the broom, she should call the relative the same thing as the broom starting at that moment.
